Park City Mountain: Park City Mountain will be hosting their Santa Comes to Town (Lift) event Saturday. Guests are welcome to come and enjoy holiday music, hot cocoa and pictures with Santa. The event begins at 5 p.m., with Santa skiing down to Town Lift at 6 p.m. Photos will run until 6:30 p.m.
Deer Valley: Deer Valley Resort will give their guests the opportunity to ski with Santa Tuesday. Santa will be at the Snow Park base from 9 to 11 a.m. and Silver Lake from noon to 1:30 p.m. Skiers and guests are welcomed to bring their own cameras and take photos with Santa.
Miners: The Miners boys basketball squad fell 60-41 Wednesday to Grantsville. While Park City took a 13-7 lead into the second quarter, they couldn’t hold on. Michael Zagan had 13 points in the loss. The Miners are 2-7 with Hillcrest next on the schedule Friday night. The Hillcrest game will tipoff at 5:15 p.m.
The Miners girls basketball squad lost 51-37 Tuesday to Tooele. Dylan Radziukinas had 13 points in the loss, and Hadley Flach, 10. Park City fell to 2-7, with Hillcrest next on their schedule Friday night. The Hillcrest game will tipoff at 7 p.m. at Park City High School.
The Miners wrestling squad took down Murray 42-31 Thursday. The girls team didn’t lose a single match en route to the combined team victory. Park City was celebrating program alumni, including last year’s women’s 145-pound division state-title winner Sav Smith. The Miners will head to the Salt Lake Academy Tournament Friday and Saturday.
Three Miners athletes participated in a signing-day event Thursday afternoon. Luke Castelli committed to Amherst College to play football, Henley Madsen to CSU Pueblo to play volleyball and Jeremiah Marsh to Northwest Nazarene to play golf. It was the second Park City signing-day event this year.
