Kieran Culkin is a loving dad to two children and has been enjoying every second of it — well except for one small, ongoing detail.
The Succession star became a dad five years ago and now has two kids with his wife Jazz Charton, 5-year-old daughter Kinsey and 3-year-old son Wilder. While speaking to Sing Sing star Colman Domingo for Variety‘s "Actors on Actors" series, Culkin shared that while he loves most everything about being a parent, there is one aspect that he’s not a fan of.
When Domingo asked Culkin what he likes about being a father, the Scott Pilgrim vs. The World actor immediately quipped, "Absolutely everything except dinner time… I love everything else."
All jokes aside, Culkin said fatherhood and being present in his kids’ lives is the most important role to him.
"It feels like nothing else matters," he said. "I’m a dad now, and my only role in life is that. That’s real life. All this is lovely, but I’m just trying to get home."
Elsewhere in their chat, both Culkin and Domingo detailed their drastically different morning routines while the other hilariously looked on in horror.
Culkin previously admitted that his children have yet to see the iconic Christmas film Home Alone, which he appeared in alongside his older brother Macaulay Culkin, per People.
"There’s still some scary parts," he said. "For the 3-year-old, there’s the tarantula [and] there’s the guy at the end who said, ‘I’m gonna bite off all your fingers.’ That’s scary for a 3-year-old."
