Nick Jonas doesn’t seem to care that he’s in deep trouble with his fans over his latest Twitter interaction.
Since the Jonas Brothers finished The World Tour, the Jealous singer has had a lot of time to himself in his $20 million mansion. It seems this newfound freedom might be turning into a bad thing as he’s had the time to “ruin everything”, according to his fans.
They were upset after Jonas showed support to Elon Musk on X, formerly Twitter, earlier this week.
Musk started the frenzy when responded to an article that claimed Tesla’s profits were “up 100 percent” since Donald Trump won the presidential election in November.
Throughout Trump’s campaign, the Tesla founder grew close to the candidate and even spoke at one of his rallies. The president-elect has now picked Musk to head the new department of government efficiency. The business mogul took to his social media platform, X, responding to the negativity he has received since backing Trump. He posted a GIF showing a younger version of Nick and his older brother Kevin spinning a small wooden coffee table.
Musk captioned the clip: “My, how the tables have turned.”
Jonas was amused by the tweet as he quoted the post saying: “Take us to the Year 3000,” referencing his 2006 hit single.
The caption was accompanied by a picture of Musk pointing his finger. Many of his fans weren’t humored by his response as they claimed they “cannot give my support to this.”
Another said: “We’re not just gonna move on from this btw. To be noticeably quiet during the entire election cycle and then tweet something like this?”
While Musk ignored the backlash, Jonas didn’t and clapped back at his followers.

A source close to the singer told the Daily Mail that he believes he has “a lot more important things to worry about than dealing with online trolls.”
He thought Musk’s post was “fun and non-drama filled” and fans are “taking things a little overboard in how they are reacting to it all.”
The insider admitted his intentions were to be “clever” and nothing more.
They said: “Nick has already moved on from whatever controversy this somehow has made.”
The source said Jonas doesn’t plan to “waver” or “double down” from his original post and “doesn’t plan on deleting it.”Get all the latest news, entertainment, sport and lifestyle updates from our dedicated American team.
