Tinsley Abstract & Title, LLC has been named the December Business of the Month by the Athens Chamber of Commerce, a recognition of their longstanding dedication to professionalism, community involvement, and exceptional service. The award was presented at the Chamber’s monthly luncheon at the Athens Country Club, honoring the company’s contributions to Henderson County and beyond.
Owner Christopher Tinsley has been an independent attorney for more than 20 years, specializing in real estate law while also handling wills, probates, and other legal matters. Over two decades ago, he purchased the title company from Boswell Fowler, inheriting a card title plant that dates back to the sovereignty of Texas. This unique resource allows Tinsley and his team to see how Henderson County has grown and evolved from its original roots.
In addition to running the business, Tinsley serves as the chairman of the Athens Booster Club, dedicating significant time and energy to supporting the Athens Independent School District through games and events.
Being named Business of the Month is a meaningful honor for Tinsley and his team. “We are thrilled and honored to be named business of the month as we have worked hard on being more involved with our community and bettering our business on both the law and title side,” Tinsley said. “Our title office has thrived this last year, and we are so thankful that our community has recognized that.”
The Chamber’s nomination for Tinsley Abstract & Title emphasized the impact the business has had, both professionally and personally. One client shared, “Tinsley Law should and would be a great business to recognize for business of the month! Chris is a shark and they do a great job for their clients and our community. They are always helping out with AISD and community events. Jessica helped me close, and the process was seamless.”
The past year has been particularly eventful for Tinsley with the opening of a second location in Palestine. Jessica Padgett, who was named office manager last year, has played a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of work and fostering strong relationships. Tinsley expressed pride in his team, stating, “Each of our employees strives to be the very best at their craft, and we are so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”
At the core of Tinsley Law and Title’s mission is helping the community. Whether clearing titles, assisting with probates, resolving land or family issues, or ensuring smooth real estate transactions, the team is dedicated to providing stress-free experiences for their clients. Tinsley emphasized that their work goes beyond transactions, saying, “When we help people get to the finish line and they’re happy with the result, we win overall. That’s the best feeling.”
One of the company’s greatest strengths is its “true work family” team. Many employees have been with the company for over five years, including plant manager Lisa, who has more than 30 years of experience and began her career with Boswell Fowler before Tinsley took over the business. This longevity and loyalty create a strong foundation for their continued success.
Tinsley Abstract and Title proudly serves Henderson County and has access to over 70 other counties for title and closing services. For more information about Tinsley Law and Title, visit their website at tinsleytitle.com, follow them on Facebook at Tinsley Title, or call 903-677-2112.
