WASHINGTON (Gray DC) – All eyes are on Capitol Hill as the House and Senate work to finalize a deal to avoid a government shutdown.
Funding runs out Friday, which is also the deadline for the crucial Farm Bill and National Defense Authorization Act.
This week is also the last week of the 118th Congress, with the new Congress swearing in on January 3rd. Dozens of members will depart for good this week, including Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT), Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rep. Earl Blumenauer (D-OR).
Monday President Joe Biden gives a speech at the labor department. Tuesday Vice President Kamala Harris gives a speech in Maryland.
Friday marks the 5th anniversary of the creation of the U.S. Space Force.
