Andrew J. Mahtook has joined Kean Miller as an associate.
Mahtook focuses his practice on business, corporate and real estate matters. He specializes in working with entrepreneurs and startups and guiding them through their growth.
He earned a bachelor’s in finance, summa cum laude, from LSU, a master’s in business administration from Tulane University A.B. Freeman School of Business, a law degree, cum laude, and certificate in civil studies from Tulane University Law School. While he was a student at LSU, Mahtook was student body president and in law school, he was senior associate editor of the Tulane Law Review.

Virginia M. Hamrick has joined Fishman Haygood as an associate in the litigation section.
She earned a bachelor’s in telecommunications, summa cum laude, from the University of Florida and a law degree, cum laude, from University of Florida Levin College of Law. While in law school, Hamrick was the notes editor of the Florida Journal of Law & Public Policy.

Micah Allen-Chambers has been promoted to director of sales for the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center.
Allen-Chambers previously served as assistant director of sales for the convention center. She has led sales and marketing efforts for the Miami Beach Convention Center and the Jackson (Mississippi) Convention Complex.
She earned a bachelor’s in English from the University of New Orleans.
Caleb Prejean has been promoted to president of Capitol City Produce.
Prejean has been with the company since 2015, serving as vice president of operations. During that time, he developed customer service models for Capitol City Produce’s expansion into Alabama and Florida, created operational and logistical solutions and oversaw the expansion of the company’s distribution center.
He replaces Darin Arceneaux, who is retiring in February after 12 years as president.

Dale Reppond has been hired by Clean Hydrogen Works as plant director for Ascension Clean Energy.
Reppond was most recently plant director for the OCI/Woodside clean ammonia plant in Beaumont, Texas. He has 40 years of experience in ammonia plant operations for major producers such as LSB Industries, Mosaic, CF Industries and Koch.
Clean Hydrogen Works is leading an effort to build a $7.5 billion ammonia plant on the west bank of Ascension Parish. The plant will produce “blue” ammonia, meaning carbon capture will be used to mitigate emissions. A final investment decision on the plant is expected in late 2025.
Mike Riche is retiring from United Community Bank after 47 years.
Riche, the president and CEO, will step down at the end of the year.
Sonny Aldridge was named CEO. Aldridge has been with the bank for 21 years, and has been chief operating officer since 2010.
Prentiss Wilks will take over as president and chief lending officer. Wilks has been chief credit officer for the past 14 years.
