The wrestling season is upon us, which means a new crop of leaders for both the boys and the girls wrestling teams at Chico High. While the girls team has competed. The boys have yet too that changes this week. I got the chance to speak to a couple of captains today, man, are they looking forward to this challenge, this opportunity as captains of this team .
“Going in your like, how am I gonna do for the season and then you go in and you get focused and you wrestle and you see how you do. I think it’s pretty good, our girls did pretty good. Everyone worked hard, they got focused had to make wait for some people for the first time.” Aliyhana Hernande said.
“We’re all working hard in here and it’s not easy stuff we’re doing, but it’s important that people see that it can be fun and that people like me, even though I’m a good student I can also be a good athlete and a good friend to all these people in here and lead the team and it’s always super fun.” Jack Dalling
Chico will host a wrestling duel with Corning this Wednesday. We’re both the boys and the girls will wrestle simultaneously. So if you love wrestling and the spirit of competition, come out to Chico high Wednesday as the panthers take on
