Syracuse, N.Y. — Broadcaster Jack Morse and sportswriter Neil Kerr are among 12 Central New York media members selected for induction into the 2024 class of Syracuse’s Urban Sports Hall of Fame.
Morse began doing sports part-time with Channel 5 in 1966 and spent more than four decades broadcasting in the Syracuse area. In 1972 he started a segment called “Athlete of the Week” to bring recognition to local competitors. A high school indoor track meet is held annually in his name. He died in 2019.
